Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
Whin AI is an independent AI consultancy operated by Chris Whincup, based in York, United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal data is collected through this website, why, and how it is handled.
What we collect
We only collect personal data that you choose to give us:
- Your name, email address and any details you include when you contact us by email or book a discovery call.
- When you book a call, our scheduling provider, Calendly, collects your name, email address, time zone and any notes you add.
Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, automatically processes standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) for all visitors, purely to deliver and secure the site. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies of our own.
How we use it
We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, schedule and conduct discovery calls, and — if you go on to engage us — to deliver the agreed work. We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for marketing without your separate consent.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this business, each acting under their own privacy policy:
- Calendly — call scheduling
- Zoho Mail — business email
- Cloudflare — website hosting and security
We do not share your data with any other third party except where required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected — typically the duration of our conversation or engagement, plus any period required for legal, accounting or tax purposes.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email chris@whinai.co.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page.
